Disease

Beneath a beating sun.
They keep me cold and then the shadows rising
Always remind me that the worst is yet to come.
A vision subject to change and as I fall apart
I fail to watch the words in white ink erase themselves.
When the time comes I will be rid of this town,
But my only regret is that I never let you fall.

Fall

If you want me to take it
I'm falling and shaking
I'll never restore all the things that have let me down.
(What wasn't meant to be)
But they will follow me,
And I won't believe that I was ever meant to be
Alive but full of disease.

The worst isn't the blood
That falls down my skin,
And it isn't the dismissive words you hurled
Straight to my head now bold out in print.
The worst thing is the spiral, circle,
Vortex, cycle, that weaves my thoughts into hatred.
So pull the trigger on the firearm of your vanity,
And watch the bullet penetrate my skull.
So your self-absorbed actions and your hunger for attention
Will wash the river out of me and cover my skin all in bleach.
Don't go wasting your enemies,
You may have no friends left at all,
And remember that when you fall.

Fall

If you want me to take it
I'm falling and shaking
I'll never restore all the things that have let me down.
(What wasn't meant to be)
But they will follow me,
And I won't believe that I was ever meant to be
Alive but full of disease.

I'm falling down,
And out of this city,
But I'll be back with memories of you,
Which you will relive in all that you do.

And I just wanna know,
How it must feel,
To never be alone,
And always choosing sides,
To fit who sucks up to you the most.
Because we all know if you didn't you'd have to face your flaws

Flaws

If you want me to take it
I'm falling and shaking
I'll never restore all the things that have let me down.
(What wasn't meant to be)
But they will follow me,
And I won't believe that I was ever meant to be
Alive but full of disease.

Destroy The Clocks

Inspired by new Linkin Park album 'A Thousand Suns' Post-apocalyptic-it's all our fault-philosophical crap ;)
Enjoy x

Destroy The Clocks

I see the buildings fall
The fires burning out.
The dust it settles down,
It buries wounds of what is found
And soldiers laid to rest.
But in the cold and rust,
The lack of time,
The endless space and what is mine;
The calm it seems to carry a final prayer.
Because where you will find the deepest snow,
The brightest stars
From here I know,
They're all alive in beauty and decay.

Dissemble hands,
Melt the cogs,
Look to the sky,
And search for God.

Between the empty lands
I feel the thunder storms.
The moon it glides above,
In all its blissful ignorance
That shows it's so much more.
But on the corpse of Earth,
That's cold and grey
That sings the wars of fear kept astray;
The levees break so that we discover truths.
Because where you will find the deepest snow,
The brightest stars
From here I know,
They're all alive in beauty and decay.

Dissemble hands,
Melt the cogs,
Look to the sky,
And search for God.

Until we drop, woah.
The atoms will explode.
And God will leave us no
Time to destroy
The clocks
The fear,
And leave us thinking:

Here we are, woah
The atoms will explode.

And dissemble hands,
Melt the cogs,
Look to the sky,
And search for God.

A Year In the Life Of...

Very basic. Listening to a lot of acoustic stuff from Three Days Grace, Finch and Taking Back Sunday. Enjoy x

A Year In the Life Of...

It used to take me months,
In fact it's been one year to date,
Since you turned my life around,
And put the ending right in front.

I can't stop the pain from dying away,
I can't blame the memories for wanting to stay.
And I still don't remember how I got to this place,
But I know I'm not leaving without

You keep my heart beating,
Even when there's no point to breathe.
And you keep my head spinning,
But I know I can still see.

So sorry for everyone getting in the way,
And forgive me for assuming you wanted to stay.
And I still don't remember thinking it through,
I still can't comprehend a life without

You keep my heart beating,
Even when there's no point to breathe.
And you keep my head spinning,
But I know I can still

See the sky above your eyes,
Waiting for me to drown behind
Constant nightmares coming my way,
But they're never enough to stop me to say

You keep my heart beating,
Even when there's no point to breathe.
And you keep my head spinning,
But I know I can still see.

I still don't remember thinking it through,
And I still can't comprehend a life without you

Souled

I want to come back to this...inspired by 'Move On' by Fort Minor and The Divine Comedy by Dante. enjoy xx (oh, note that "blessed" is pronounced [bless-ed] not [blessd]) and forgive the awful pun in the title, i'll rethink it...

Souled

Thank you for greeting the sinned and blessed at the door,
Passing judgement and thieving and begging them for more.
Well we don't need your valid opinions valued here,
So if you'd kindly step aside and the devil shall appear.

Place you on a pedestal that's looming way up high,
So you can sneer and raise your chin at us peasants passing by.
And as your ego grows so do the spikes above your head,
Accept the blessed and forgive the others' sins,
And soon the growing pedestal will make the blessed dead.

Way way down, beneath the last circle of hell,
A place is reserved and I know that it will fit you well.
Don't preach to me your false ideals or parade around your gold,
My soul is still in tact but yours is going gone sold.

Another rather unrelated event has appeared today,
The devil's here to tell you that your pretty head can stay.
But you have to get off your pedestal now, your fate will soon be near,
So if you'd kindly join us down below and the devil shall appear.

Way way down, beneath the last circle of hell,
A place is reserved and I know that it will fit you well.
Don't preach to me your false ideals or parade around your gold,
My soul is still in tact but yours is going gone sold.

Your Love

Just...shutup.

Your Love

They said,
Things get better in time.
They said,
Everything will be alright.
You said,
Despite the things that tore us apart,
Whatever's true is in my heart.
And I'm so tired of wishing away,
Feelings that were there the other day,
And I can never make you feel,
Like you did.
Like I do.
Like I always will.

Your love was my purpose,
Purpose to take breath.
When it went it left pain,
And my path clear to death.

I made my mistakes,
That are too large to ignore.
They say life moves on,
But I'm sure there's no more.
I already had life,
But I blew it away,
Now there's no point in living today.
And I can never make you feel,
Like you did.
Like I do.
Like I always will.

Your love was my purpose,
Purpose to take breath.
When it went it left pain,
And my path clear to death.

And I can never make you feel,
Like you did.
Like I do.
Like I always will.

We Are Dead

Say Anything-inspired. Not much to say, it all fit together nicely.

We Are Dead

With a vast amount of human understanding,
Beliefs in science and religion do not divide,
Instead they leak and suffer and bleed...
But we are dead,
To the world that left us dying.
We are slaves,
To a man with no understanding.
We can flee,
But then he'd know that we're running.
And he'd creep,
Across every known desert,
Until the man that's sat above,
Feigns blindness and leaves us standing.

Then they'll follow us back home,
They'll knock on our front doors.
They'll paint us red,
Knock off our heads,
And quietly leave us dying.
And if we tied them to their throne,
They'll make us mop their floors.
We'd paint through led,
Get high instead,
And leave his majesty sighing.

We are dead,
To the world that left us dying.
We are slaves,
To a man with no understanding.
We can flee,
But then he'd know that we're running.
And then that man that's sat above,
Feigns blindness and leaves us standing.

Then I'll take a stranger's hand,
We'll shoot the snipers down.
Take the ammo,
Kiss while we go,
And we'll proudly leave them dying.
And if all goes as we planned,
The war won't make us frown.
It goes to show,
War is our foe,
Unless everyone is lying.

We are dead,
To the world that left us dying.
We are slaves,
To a man with no understanding.
We can flee,
But then he'd know that we're running.
And then that man that's sat above,
Feigns blindness and leaves us standing.

Woah

An Art of Theft

Oh wow. When I started this I fully intended it to be about being in love (happily) and hope and emotions. I'm...not quite sure what happened...Oh well. Still stuff I'm feeling, that clashes with the hope ^_^ very simple. Can be done acoustic or as a harder rock song...or compromises of both. Little cheesy. Some inspirations include 'The Only Exception' by Paramore and 'Fire' + 'Into You' by Dead by Sunrise. I may or may not have stolen the title of Ben "Yahtzee" Crosshaw's 'Art of Theft' game, but I like it :D Enjoy xx

An Art of Theft

You stole my heart, an art of theft,
You can't take it back.
But you were gone before you left,
You already knew that.

(Approaching with fear)
(You were so...distant)

The sky was all tired,
And I was so blessed,
And that was the day, the day that you left.
Hearing your voice,
I wouldn't have guessed,
It would be the day, the day that you left.

You keep my heart, a gift at best,
I can't have it back.
But you weren't hurt; your heart not stressed,
You already knew that.

(Approaching with fear)
(You were so...distant)

The sky was all tired,
And I was so blessed,
And that was the day, the day that you left.
Hearing your voice,
I wouldn't have guessed,
It would be the day, the day that you left.

Did you believe in me,
Just to believe in you?
And did you just hurt me,
Just to relinquish you?
(My heart, my heart)
I wasn't done with you,
(My heart, my heart,)
(My heart, my heart,)
(My heart, my heart,)
(My heart, my heart,)
(My heart, my heart,)
(My heart, my heart...)
Well it wasn't done with you...

I'm hearing your voice,
It came back again,
And that was the day, the day that you left.
The day that you left.

The sky was all tired,
And I was so blessed,
And that was the day, the day that you left.
Hearing your voice,
I wouldn't have guessed,
It would be the day, the day that you left.

Breathe (Copied from LPUMB)

Actually wrote it on Word, which is weird for me. Posted it on LPUMB immediately :) then came here:

I don't know xD different. Let me know what you think :) Inspired by Juneau (Acoustic) by Funeral for a Friend. I love that song. Enjoyyy x

Breathe

Well it’s a sorry sight,
I’m sorry for your pain,
But broken glasses don’t heal wounds,
I’m sure you’re sorry all the same.
For the love of God,
Or the love of something,
Something that will show me love,
And not create havoc.

Just sit still, breathe slowly,
Just lie here, die with me,
Just sit still, breathe slowly.

And just so you know,
I’m ready for the pain,
But I’m never going to run,
I’m sure I’m ready all the same.
Somebody help me,
Or help somebody else,
Somebody who deserves help,
And won’t create havoc.

Just sit still, breathe slowly,
Just lie here, die with me,
Well just sit still, breathe slowly,
Breathe slowly.
And just lie here, and die with me.
Just sit still and breathe below me.

Breathe until we die...
Slowly as you lie awake in agony,
Just sit still, breathe.
Just...breathe.

Well it’s a sorry sight,
I’m sorry for my pain,
But broken glasses don’t heal wounds,
I’m sure I’m broken all the same.
For the love of God,
Or the love of anything,
Anything that will show me love,
Only creates havoc.

As we rest.
As we rest.

Just Another Song

Something I've been working on for a while. Did it so fast. The original title was "Just Another Love Song" but "Just Another Song" fits better :) Um...I was torn how to end it so it goes on for a while...I couldn't make my mind up between a fade out or a big stop. OK...inspired BY...'Sunday Bloody Sunday' by Paramore and 'Palahniuk's Laughter' by Fightstar. Listen to both songs and be confused :P I blended both styles. Enjoy x

Just Another Song

Why do I feel afraid.
I'll keep on changing minds but it'll always be the same.
I never knew about the fires,
About the highs,
Won't you please just let me be,
And stop this messing with my heart.
And you have to tell me if I have this all wrong,
Because this could end up as just another stupid song.

I don't feel like,
The sun has made it's exit yet.
I don't feel right,
And everything is out of control,
Just another broken soul,
Some things just don't belong,
I don't want this just another song.
(It could be forever, we could change the world)

We all need a hero.
I'll sacrifice this state of mind to save my loan.
I never knew about the fires,
About the highs,
It's always the lows,
That keep messing with our hearts.
Don't feel like you can't tell me if I'm wrong,
I just don't want this to end up...
Because this could end up just another stupid song

I don't feel like,
The sun has made it's exit yet.
I don't feel right,
And everything is out of control,
Just another broken soul,
Some things just don't belong,
I don't want this just another song.
(It could be forever, we could change the world)
(If we would stay together, we could keep the fold)

Separations begin with letters of your name,
Riddles get me nowhere all the same.
I could find...
I could lie...
I could find...
And I could lie...
I.

I don't feel like,
The sun has made it's exit yet.
I don't feel right,
And everything is out of control,
Just another broken soul,
Some things just don't belong,
I don't want this just another,
You'll never be alone again,
You'll never think about back then,
It won't feel right...
It's what you like...
The sun hasn't made the exit yet,
I don't feel right...
Just another stupid song.

I don't feel like,
The sun has made it's exit yet.
I don't feel right,
And everything is out of control,
Just another broken soul,
Some things just don't belong,
I don't want this just another song...

I think it could be forever, we could change the world together,
We cannot deny the pain we feel,
You got it wrong,
You got it wrong,
You got it wrong...
It's just another song.

Somewhere I've Never Been

I had to do this one...this has been bugging me for ages: the song AND the subject. For my friends...I'm sorry.

Somewhere I've Never Been

I am going to leave,
And I will have a reason,
A fire escape, another lie,
A twist of fate and Californian sky,
To ease the wound.
And tomorrow night is way too soon.

Die low we go,
Reform a shattered dream.
Cry no I know,
Somewhere I've never been.
(Somewhere I've never been)

It's not what you did,
It's what you didn't need to say,
A false apology, another fake day,
A simple hug,
A vain promise that things will change,
And it's not enough to make me stay.

Die low we go.
Reform a shattered dream,
Cry no I know,
Somewhere I've never been.
(Somewhere I've never seen)

Lies go,
Through your soul.
And I'll go,
Somewhere whole.
To trust hope,
And find something I need to know.

Die low we go,
Reform a shattered dream,
Cry no I know,
Somewhere you've never seen,
Somewhere where I can be,
Somewhere that this is just a dream...
Somewhere I've never been.

Don't tell me your lies.
I won't need this disguise.
I might come back some day,
When I'm too tired to run away.

Die low we go,
Another shattered dream,
Cry no I know,
Somewhere I know I've never been.

On the Horizon (Copied from LPUMB)

All of the below is copied from my thread in the LPUMB Lounge.

Lot of inspirations for this. First I was thinking about doing something like We Are Broken by Paramore. Then I was thinking about how the weather had changed recently and there had been a storm. And then I thought about Funeral for a Friend's concept album: Tales Don't Tell Themselves. I was thinking about these things and some others like Cellar Door by Holly Brook and Taking Back Sunday songs and Hawthorns Heights and stuff...but it came out like this. And I like it. Tell me what you think... x

On the Horizon

Beginning with the cold,
It freezes minds, it freezes souls,
To keep me alive,
Promise me the sun will shine.

Keep your eyes, on the horizon,
I'll come back home,
We'll follow the sun,
You promise me the sun,
And keep your eyes, on the horizon.

And then the summer heat,
It pales the work, it pales the sea,
To keep me alive,
Promise me the sun is mine.

Keep your eyes, on the horizon,
I'll come back home,
We'll follow the sun,
You promise me the sun,
And keep your eyes, on the horizon.

Follow the heat with storms,
It clouds the sky, it clouds our forms,
To keep me alive,
Promise me the sun will shine.

Keep your eyes, on the horizon,
I'll come back home,
We'll follow the sun,
You promise me the sun,
And keep your eyes, on the horizon.

And the rain,
Reminds me of you,
And the timber frame,
That supports the crew,
And the water,
That runs,
The firing of the guns.
And rushing water,
Filling my lungs,
And eyes that cannot see the sun.

Keep your eyes, on the horizon,
I'll come back home,
We'll follow the sun,
You promise me the sun,
And keep your eyes, on the horizon.

Starting with, the sand and water,
The pounding, in my head and shoulders,
The ship that, lays across tens of miles,
In the middle of nowhere.
But the storm, the wind has settled down,
It's anger has abated, it's crime done,
And somewhere along the horizon,
I can see the sun.

Keep your eyes, on the horizon,
I'll come back home,
We'll follow the sun,
So promise me the sun,
And keep your eyes, on the horizon.

Falling

Venting. Again. Maybe I should make that a tag...*ponders* nah. :) Ok...um, very personal and...well it's all explained in the lyrics. En processo. Couple of lines I'm unsure about. I'll get back to it, this one has promise.
Enjoyy x

Falling

Someone alone is always wrong,
But is there someone there for me,
Something now is always listening,
But is there someone there for me.

Do you recall the night that we fell apart,
(Do you recall, do you recall)
I was down on the ground and you broke my heart,
(You don't recall, you don't recall)
Well let me remind you...
It was black,
It was dark,
It was hell and I'm still here.
I'm still here; I'm still standing!

Shoot me down and call me always,
You're playing your last card.
I'll keep walking ignore the pain,
This time it went too far.

I am tired and always broken,
But this mask does so much for me,
I spend all nights awake in fear,
But this mask does so much for me.

Do you recall that night when we fell apart,
(Say you recall, say you recall)
I was down on the ground when you broke my heart,
(You won't recall, you won't recall)
Well let me remind you...
It was black,
It was dark,
It was hell and I'm still here.
I'm still here; I'm still standing!

Shoot me down and call me always,
You're playing your last card.
I'll keep walking ignore the pain,
This time it went too far.

And when you call me,
(When you call me)
Don't expect for me to hear the phone,
(I'm trapped alone and I can't hear it)
So when you call,
That you recall,
I'll be gone,
I won't be sorry,
I've gone somewhere that you can't hurt me,
Somewhere I can get some sleep,
Somewhere I can kill some sleep.

Shoot me down and call me always,
You're playing your last card.
I'll keep walking ignore the pain,
This time you went way too far.

You can't stop,
You're not calling,
I can't sleep 'cause I'm still falling.

No Eye Contact for Pathological Liars

Just some confessions...yeah I find it hard to make eye contact with people and when I do it makes me...angry? Just some musings. The first paragraph is an intro, played quieter than the rest. The rest of it is pretty conventional. Acoustic guitar. Mercury Summer by Fightstar inspired, although it now sounds nothing like it.
Enjoy.

No Eye Contact for Pathological Liars

Am I lost,
True to you I'll fall again.
Should have known from the start,
I never would be true again.

So why did it get so bad,
When did it get to this extreme,
Why would I fall apart,
Why would I pick at this thin seem.
I don't know...
Who I am anymore.

The world isn't moving,
Tell me I'm dreaming,
When did it all fall down to this.
The world isn't moving,
Tell me it's spinning,
When did my lies bring us to this.

So how will I make it back,
Haven't I ruined everything,
Why would I lie to you,
Why would I push your love from me.
I don't know...
Why I can't meet your eyes.

The world isn't moving,
Tell me I'm dreaming,
When did it all fall down to this.
The world isn't moving,
Tell me it's spinning,
When did my lies bring us to this.

I guess I know...
Why it's so hard for me...
To simply look in your eyes.
In anyone's eyes,
Cause no-one can hide,
It's because of the lies,
It's because of the lies,
It's because of the lies,
It's because of the lies...
That I can't meet your eyes.

The world isn't moving,
Tell me I'm dreaming,
When did it all fall down to this.
The world isn't moving,
Tell me it's spinning,
When did my lies bring us to this.

Because of this,
Because of this,
Because of this,
Because of this.

Die A Thousand Times

I was thinking I should do something that isn't so personal and pissy. This was what I came out with. I don't just wanna bitch about my life in my lyrics or all the things and people that piss me off, although it may seem like I do that a lot. Those songs are still heartfelt and could be a lot worse (like Slipknot lyrics *shudders*) but I needed to try something different. This is about basically everyone in my life (myself included) and how we complain about our lives, when really we have it pretty damn good. I know it doesn't do much good but; dedicated to the people who are actually suffering. x

Die A Thousand Times

Tell me the story of your life,
Then let me guess the ending.
You can't take away my eyes,
You can't take away his lies.
Why we complain I'll never see,
This world just seems corrupt to me.

I'll sing for you,
Like the sun sings for the damned blue skies,
I'll fight for you,
When the people hide their only lies,
And we'll die...
And we'll die a thousand times.

Tell me a story of a far-away land,
Then let me bring you back again.
Don't you see the suffering men,
Don't you see the tracks again.
Our lives aren't tragic we have so much more,
And yet we feel so underscored.

I'll sing for you,
Like the sun sings for the damned blue skies,
I'll fight for you,
When the people hide their only lies,
And we'll die...
And we'll die a thousand times.

I'm tired of your reflections,
I'm tired of seeing black and white.
I'm sick of all your expectations,
I'm sick of all this unearned time.

I'll sing for you,
Like the sun sings for the damned blue skies,
I'll fight, I'll fight,
When the people hide every single lie,
And we'll die,
We'll die a thousand times.

Take It All

Subtle right? Haha, venting my frustration on my songs. Started as a rap like old LP (Xero) songs but turned into this massive dramatic semi-acoustic thing.
To be continued. I don't know if I want to make it longer but it will end on that chorus for sure. Err,talking about a couple of people in this song. They're both my friends, one more than the other. Written about them but it can be about any attention seeking situation really. For anybody who feels they get caught in the middle of their friends' depression. Enjoy x

Take It All

Lives were lost today,
But I'm sitting here as you throw yours away,
Everything I thought about everyone I knew,
Has gone or has changed and you've got me confused,
I'm on the edge, so close to giving up,
Your pain and hurt is another's good luck.

You want attention (take it)
You want pity (take it)
You want my sanity, you want my time,
Just take it,take it all.
Oh take it,take it all.

Can't you learn to live with what you've got,
Slit your wrists 'cause you're fucked up,
But I'm not buying your life dear,
Do you take me for a fool,
I know the trick you're trying to pull,
And I'm so tired and I'm on edge,
I won't save your life again,
Just scream, before you count to ten.

You want attention (take it)
You want pity (take it)
You want my sanity, you want my time,
Just take it,take it all.
Oh take it,take it all.

You're not on your own,
You're dying to be,
I'm suffering behind this mask,
But I won't let you see.
I don't want to take it all.

You want attention (take it)
You want pity (take it)
You want my sanity, you want my time,
You want help but you're doing fine,
You want it all,you want it all,
Just take it,take it all.
Oh take it,take it all.
Take it,take it all.

Unforgivable Thoughts (copied from LPUMB)

All of the below was copied from my thread in the Linkin Park Underground Message Boards.

"Inspired by The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars (brilliant video for that BTW) I couldn't think of a title just looking at these lyrics because they don't nearly say enough about the subject but 'Unforgivable Thoughts' : it sorta sums up this subject for me. Its about attention seeking but that not might be very blatant but that's OK I wasn't going for some big dramatic 'fuck you' song.
Most of you have probably seen LP's 'Making of Minutes to Midnight'. At one point Mike describes how if he thought a song should have rapping on it; he sung. And vice versa. I'm doing a similar thing: if I think a song should be heavy; I'll do it acoustic and vice versa. Should be fun. It's going great so far. I really really recommend this, it clears your head a bit.
Long intro, sorry. I'll bugga off. Ennjoyy!

Unforgivable Thoughts

Are you closer to the start
Or the bottom of your heart
Give you a second to bleed
To take back what you heard
And you'll see (you'll see)
I won't say a word
Say a word
Say a word

No
You won't find pity here
You won't find any fear
I can't stop your pain
Can't stop your crave
And I can't stand your lies
I...

Can't you see that I wanted to care
But you only care for yourself
Take your pain and all of it's greed
Set it down and leave it to bleed
(Can't you see that I want it to bleed)
Can't you see can't you see,
I'm not done I'm not here I can't leave

No
You won't find pity here
You won't find any fear
I can't stop your pain
Can't stop your crave
And I can't stand your lies
I...

No
You won't find pity here
You won't find any fear
I can't stop your pain
Can't stop your crave
And I can't stand your lies
Lies
Lies
Lies

Find it in me
Everything you wanted to be
Spell it out (spell it out)
But we see you don't bleed
We see how your pain is your show
Your lights and your paint but your crowd
It's suddenly missing...

No
You won't find pity here
You won't find any fear
I can't stop your pain
Can't stop your crave
And I can't stand your lies
Lies...

You won't find your fear...
(I can't find the sun in the sky)
You won't find your fear...
(As long as you don't explain)
You won't find your fear."
