We Are Dead

Say Anything-inspired. Not much to say, it all fit together nicely.

We Are Dead

With a vast amount of human understanding,
Beliefs in science and religion do not divide,
Instead they leak and suffer and bleed...
But we are dead,
To the world that left us dying.
We are slaves,
To a man with no understanding.
We can flee,
But then he'd know that we're running.
And he'd creep,
Across every known desert,
Until the man that's sat above,
Feigns blindness and leaves us standing.

Then they'll follow us back home,
They'll knock on our front doors.
They'll paint us red,
Knock off our heads,
And quietly leave us dying.
And if we tied them to their throne,
They'll make us mop their floors.
We'd paint through led,
Get high instead,
And leave his majesty sighing.

We are dead,
To the world that left us dying.
We are slaves,
To a man with no understanding.
We can flee,
But then he'd know that we're running.
And then that man that's sat above,
Feigns blindness and leaves us standing.

Then I'll take a stranger's hand,
We'll shoot the snipers down.
Take the ammo,
Kiss while we go,
And we'll proudly leave them dying.
And if all goes as we planned,
The war won't make us frown.
It goes to show,
War is our foe,
Unless everyone is lying.

We are dead,
To the world that left us dying.
We are slaves,
To a man with no understanding.
We can flee,
But then he'd know that we're running.
And then that man that's sat above,
Feigns blindness and leaves us standing.

Woah
